REMEMBER THE SABBATH

In Exodus 20:8-11 the fourth commandment enjoins us to rest on the seventh day, which is to be kept holy as a sabbath to the Lord. I have always been awed by the injunction of the Jewish law to take a day off weekly from labor and to give us space to reconnect with God and ourselves. I think my fascination reflects my over-extended lifestyle, and I often fail to “Remember the Sabbath”.
