This parable in Matthew 20:1-16 is about people being paid the same amount, whether they worked one or twelve hours. I began to understand "the last shall be first and the first will be last", when I did volunteer work for Jubilee Jobs. I met people without skills and desperate to find work. At Jubilee Jobs they learned basic job skills and given a helping hand to find work and stay employed.
