This was my first biblically inspired piece of fabric art and was based on John 2:1-11 the story of Jesus turning water into wine. I was doing volunteer work at Cana Industries at the time and experiencing the miracle of people”s lives being changed as they gained confidence and work skills. I used a zig-zag design in the border, which is the Egyptian hieroglyph for water to symbolize the turning of blue water into red wine.
