Cleanse me with hyssop ..wash me..let me hear joy and gladness..hide your face from my sins, & blot out my iniquities.” Psalm 51:7-9
In doing research, I found that the hyssop plant I had pictured in this quilt was not native to Palestine, but decided to include it in my biblical plant series, anyway. I felt that picturing this lavender plant, we may be reminded of what the psalmist is saying, when we see lavender growing in our gardens.
