In Exodus 5-12 the drawn-out struggle between Moses as God's representative, and Pharaoh, the god-king, shows how nature, which is supposedly controlled by Egyptian gods. YHWH used natural forces in the ten plagues to convince Pharaoh to free the Hebrew slaves.
